The Surprise Garden is committed to enabling everyone, including people with disabilities, to browse this site comfortably, with dignity and independence. We continuously work to improve accessibility.
Our commitment
This site was built with accessible UX in mind: clear structure, simple navigation, readable text, persistent accessibility controls, and support for screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Standard and conformance level
This site aims to meet Israeli Standard 5568 at Level AA, aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Work is ongoing and reviewed with significant updates.
Accessibility features on this site
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Persistent accessibility controls: increase/decrease text size, reduce motion, and reset settings.
- Full keyboard navigation — menus, forms, carousels, fullscreen gallery and sliders.
- Clear focus indicators, comfortable touch targets, and labels for interactive controls.
- Semantic structure, heading hierarchy, and screen-reader announcements in forms and loading states.
- Full RTL and LTR support across all five languages.
- Light/dark themes with color contrast meeting AA requirements.
- Alternative text (alt) for meaningful content images.
Using the accessibility controls
In the site header (and mobile menu) you'll find an accessibility button. You can increase or decrease text size, reduce animations, and reset to defaults. Preferences are saved in your browser.
Known limitations
Some images are loaded from an external server (sgarden.co.il). WhatsApp and phone links open external apps outside our control. If you encounter a specific issue, we'll gladly address and fix it.
Reporting an accessibility issue
Found a problem? Contact us with the page, what you tried, and your browser/device. We'll respond within 5 business days.
